V. P. S. P. M. S. Arts, Science & Commerce College, Kannad is established by vinayakrao Patil shikshan prasarak Mandal, Aurangabad in year 2000 at Kannad. This college is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University, Aurangabad. It is founded with the vision of founder president of sanstha Hon. Kishor Patil, Ex. MLA Kannad. The aim of this college is educate all section of society specially rural, downtrodden people of the area. College runs at two levels senior and junior level. Senior college offers education in three faculties i.e. Arts, Science and Commerce. The motto of sanstha is “Kkufni ykow txh“ (lets spread the light of knowledge in the world). Approximately 1000 students took admission in this college from all walks of life.
College has various departments & cells to facilitate students for their all round personality development like N. S. S. unit, Career Guidance Cell, Earn and Learn Scheme, Indoor sports training facility center, Girls hostel etc. many students took advantage of these facilities in college campus.
College believes that teaching-learning process should not be limited to classrooms only. Students of our college should be connected to all sections of society like farmers, youth, women, small scale industrialists etc. college arrange blood donation camp, farmers meet, N. S. S. Camp, parents meet, Alumni meet & University/College level sports competitions. The College also has Research facility center in the subject of Psychology & Marathi.
History
Vinayakrao Patil Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established in 1986 in Aurangabad with the vision of educating students from all walks of life. Sanstha has started Smt. Venutai Chavan Kanya Prashala at N-8 Cidco Aurangabad in 1986 to impart education specially girls from weaker section of the society. There after sanstha started Vinayakrao Patil Primary School, Jr. College for Girls, Nursary, Vinayakarao Patil Madyamik Vidyalaya for boys at Aurangabad. Sanstha has started Kanya Vidyalaya, Jr. College & Primary English School at Deogaon (R.) Tq. Kannad. This helps to bring rural girl students in the mainstream of education.
In Kannad, Sanstha established Arts, Science & Commerce Senior College in Year 2000 with convection of bringing students from backward & rural, hilly area in main stream of higher education, along with this sanshta started Jr. College with Arts & Science faculties. The college has won many awards on district level, University level & State level in sports, tracurricular activities like NSS. Keeping with the view of providing Technical Ediucation sanstha has stared polytechnic College in year 2010. Today approximately 250 engineers pass out from this institute with merit. At all these institutions of sanstha have wellequipped building & well qualified teaching staff.
